Robert, the chocolate ones will be covered in my thread "Chocolate PB Rice Crispy Bars are the Ultimate Recovery Food - if you Disagree, I will Fight You."
A few small ones usually go into my bike special needs bag at my IMs, along with a small (8oz) coke. The sugar boost, while only temporary, has helped me through multiple events!
I have to buy them from a package - with my portion control distortions, homemade = me eating a full pan / 3100 cal of marshmallows, rice crispies, butter and vanilla in a sitting.
The Hostess prepak gets me 440 cals and 85g cho for 99 cents ... one of those a few hours preride, and I'm ready to roll!
OK, I'm gonna disagree.... I had 1/2 of a giant piece of 8-layer carrot cake for "dinner" before my swim last night and that did the trick. Not exactly portable though...

I have to disagree. Mush that cake up, push it into a caulking gun, and mount it on a BTA bottle cage. Start with a fully loaded tube in t1, re-up at special needs, and you've got a steady stream of CHO for a big day. Or just run two full cake canisters behind the saddle. Xlab makes a mount.

Race day nutrition dispensed via caulking gun. Brilliant!!

Kim, you could also get a badass two- gun holster so you could go carrot cake gunslinger-style on the run.
i searched online for the x-lab caulking gun/cake froster mount and couldn't find it? Please advise!
