Rich- The injury bug is killing me. When last we spoke, I had taken a year off (stupid idea) and now i'm trying to get back in shape. I had 4 weeks of running (3-5 miles 4-5 times week, and was building up), Bike (2 hour rides). Then I hurt my back and have been out for 6 weeks. I've been running again and I'm probably back to 4 miles/3-4 x week shape) and 1 1/2- 2 hr rides). I have 16 weeks until Vineman 70.3. My plan is to drop into the beginners 70.3 plan so I can just survive the training. I'm going to use this spring/summer as a springboard to get back into shape. If I start feeling great 6 weeks out, i'll bump up the plan.
Question: should I just be doing the beginner plan for 16 weeks or should I do some other plan for a few weeks (maybe w/o swimming (i'm a decent swimmer and could get in shape in 6-7 weeks for the swim) and then jump into the 70.3 plan at 12 weeks?
Thanks,
Peter

Hey Peter, sorry to hear about your injury issues. I recommend you load up the Beginner EN*Half plan to end on Vineman and then make whatever modifications you need to make to that plan, ie, ignore the swimming until #x weeks out. Good luck!
