Ragnar Relay New England and Highland Park (NJ) 5k
As crazy as it may sound I am headed out for another long weekend of racing. Fortunately, I don't think this one will even compare to last weekends AZ race. For the second year in a row my company has sponsored a group of runners to participate in one of the Ragnar Relay events.
This year we will be running from Yale to Harvard, or something like that. It should be a hoot! 2 vans packed with 6 runners, a driver and a navigator running/driving for over 24 hours. In fact our estimated time is well over 30 hours, but that is okay.
I initiated this program last year as a team building exercise, and to have some fun. I had no idea that it would take off like it did. In fact we are already strategize which race we will tackle in 2011.
If we weren't crazy enough there is a local 5k that takes place the Sunday after the Ragnar. Almost the entire team has decided that it would be a great way to wrap of the weekend by running this 5K and then having a barbque with the families. Should be a great weekend!
Have fun out there this weekend and stay safe. For all you Boston peeps keep a look out, we may be running through your neighborhood, even at 2 am in the morning
