End of January Outseason (JanOS) Plan/Info Guide
Hey folks, can you believe it…you DID IT! The OutSeason® is behind you…and that can only mean one thing: you are friggin’ exhausted!
Seriously though, this is the _hardest_ consecutive work we do all year. Add in the holidays, weather, travel, illness and minimal outdoor training, and you have the recipe for a mental and physical disaster.
And yet, you survived.
But the work isn’t don’t yet…there’s still one more thing you absolutely HAVE TO do. Rest.
(Did I mention this would be hard?).
If you are pumped about the remainder of your year, you need to make sure that you will be ready when you get to that point in your year. And odds are the best way to do that, right now, is to recover from the OutSeason®.
#1 — Fire up your laptop and let Coach Rich’s smooth baritone voice coach you through this part of the season
#2 — Prefer to read? Here’s an article on managing the transition
#3 — Here are some additional things you can do now the OutSeason® is over:
+ Review your Triathlon Season RoadMap™ and load the next training plan.
+ Take a few early days off, just to chill. Enjoy sleeping in as a special treat.
+ Update your data in the Heads / Tails sheet…did you hit your targets?
+ Make sure you are signed up for all of your races — they sell out quickly!
Last, but not least, lets send a HUGE thank out to our January OS Thread captains, Carol, Scott and Anne. Without them our mojo meters may have petered out. You guys rocked it!!!!
Again, congratulations…your 2016 racing self will thank you (I promise)!
