Redesign of P5 in 2017?

Hello, Cervelo just re-designed their P5 in 2015...and I am hearing great things about it.  I heard however they may do another redesign next year.  Anyone know anything about it and/or any concerns around the current 2016 model?

    If Cervelo updates the P5 it is a response to Specialised's Shiv redesign. There are no concerns with the 2016 model and would be viewed as primarily a market share play.

    As of right now, the P5 redesign for 2017 is nothing more than a rumor.

    I'd love to see Cervelo take on a special project and go after the Diamond bike design.

    Interesting. I didn't realize that the Shiv was redesigned as well. I am guessing that is going to put the pressure on. Honestly seemed odd to me that after last year they would make any significant changes....apart from the marketing of it. Reality is, would there be that significant of a difference.

    If I recall the timing correctly, Cervelo was set to release a new design a month or two ago, but decided at the last minute it was not ready. They pulled the announcement and, instead, said that the marketing team got out over their skis and the design team was not ready to release anything. I do not think they provided an update for a new announcement, instead saying that they were working on it and would release it when the new bike was ready.

    the p5 is a great bike... do NOT overpay for it.. I know myself and a number of folks in the house have been able to get them for as much as 33-40% off MSRP in the past...
