Thanks for the TSR Coach R.

With goal being to Boston Qualify I have a couple questions.

* Why "balanced plan" vs. standard marathon focus?
* I don't plan to really "start" until May 9 so should I just do last week of RD1 and move right into RD2? Possibly dropping a run/week from RD2 to ramp the duration gradually?
* Is there any "get faster" type work to do this early to help bump up my vdot to where it needs to be? i know my Vdots not quite there yet, so need to prove that AND durability.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Ok, I didn't know you wanted to take that break. How about:

    • Wks 1-3 of RD1
    • Wks 2-4 of RD2
    • Wks 1-4 of RD3
    • Wks 2-6 of the Run Focus plan
    • Then pick up the standard/non-balanced marathon training plan, setting it to end on your race

You have plenty of time to get ready and lots of run durability is never a bad thing. So you're doing that in those 3 blocks to get you ready for 5wks of "make me a faster runner" training, then switching over to marathon training.

    Good luck!
