NEW: EN Branded Truck and Visors by Boco

Update: these are now expected to ship to Trisports and be available after May 25th. Sorry for the confusion, we received a miscued email from the manufacturer

Team,

Many of you commented on the quality of the special edition EN + Rev3 hats that Rev3 made for us and we're able to give away to a few of you. And so Mariah and Grant have worked with Boco to create super awesome custom designed EN technical trucker hats and visors for the Team!

The new hats and visors should be available for order in the EN Store on Trisports later today, May 4th. after May 25th.

Thanks for your support and for wearing our gear!

  • Nice! For those of us with large melons, any sense how this will fit? The old red visor was just too tight for me.

Yes, the sizing of the "old" visors is why we changed vendors and went with Boco. These are also very nice hats and visors. Short answer is these visors are one size fits all.

  • I was just about to send a support message in regards to the visors!  This is GREAT news on the visors and hats!  Love them!  Will be ordering a few.

  • Awesome!  Will order one to rock in Boulder!

  • Awesome design.... No thanks to the Trucker, yes please to the visor.... It better be adjustable :-)
  • I see a visor and trucker hat in the Store but not the same logo/design/color as above.
  • @Paul
see coach R 1st post:"Team, please read below but hold off on ordering until I tellz ya too. Trisports needs to do some stuff on their first before we can officially "go live" with these. I'll let you know as soon as they are available for ordering"
  • Quick question here and its probably a newbie question that I never asked when I started tri... but why people choose to wear visor VS the trucker ?

As someone like me without hair on the the visor is dangerous for huge sunburns and it cant keep the ice.

Francis - pay no mind to the visor community. They represent nothing more than those whom wish to continue the oppression of those folically challenged individuals. (That's you and me brother).

Continue to rock the tracker hat and be bald and beautiful!

  • I have 6 visors and they are great for trainer work. Keeps the sweat out of my eyes and open on top for cooling. No outside use for me.
  • @ David - I totally missed that ... only saw the available May 4th note.

@ Francis - I used to wear the headsweat caps in races for years then switched to visors. Why? 1) Because Rapstar won Texas in the heat with one using Bullfrog so I tried it. 2) It did seem cooler to me and I'm not prone to sun burns anyway. 3) I always put the ice in the back pockets over my kidneys...more effective than on your head which "feels" good but studies show doesn't really do jack.
  • @Rich - the store at trisports shows the old visor, old trucker hat & old race cap.
if i order the visor, am i getting old? or the new boco??
I need to place a group order for the Al Truscott camp...

There was a miscommunication with the Boco and the hats are shipping from the factory to TS on May 23rd. They'll be up in the store shortly thereafter.

  • ...and the hats and visors are available for purchase in the EN Store here! Thanks in advance for representing EN!

  • Just got my visor. This is a high quality visor, better than Headsweats. Most importantly, it fits my big melon.
  • @Gabe, thank you for the sizing feedback! I've been holding off ordering until I heard just this very thing on the "big melon".
  • Well this little melon head is now a little worried! My visor should arrive Saturday and I'll post an update.
  • I hear you Nemo! If mine doesn't fit my medium size noggin (i.e., as in too large) then my Sherpa will end up with 2 visors instead of just 1. Yeah, my wife has a big head -- especially when you count the big hair.
  • This is why I wanted the visor to be adjustable.... Ummm it just makes sense... No Thanks to the new one :-(
  • For what it's worth, I just got a new EN visor and a new EN trucker. The visor is high quality and fits me perfectly. I also love the Trucker. Both are very cool! Way way better than the older visors from 2 yrs ago.

They definitely get the JW seal of approval!

Thanks for the props and the JW Seal of Approval (TM)

  • Fits my little peep noggin just fine.  It wouldn't hold tight during an OBX storm, but let's just hope race day isn't as windy as an OBX day!  My guess is that over time the elastic on the back will stretch out- just like any other elastic visor.  But I've re-sewn several visors like this in the past to extend their life.  Bonus- Mr Nemo added "and it doesn't look dorkey either".  That's a Mr Nemo seal of approval!

  • My visors came in today!! It gets the old, bald man seal of approval, and the wife gives it her Italian blessing as well. We will be sporting these at Ironman Switzerland next month - me in the race and Karen as sherpa.
