Coach P or Mariah - starting to look at flights, what time on the 26th do we need to be on the ground with bags claimed in Charlotte? Or do we come in the night before? is there an option to ship bike to an LBS?
Scott, we are usually leaving Charlotte around noon-ish to drive to Boone. Most folks drive to the camp, a few fly and rent a car. We can try to coordinate a meet up at the airport, but the window is tight as it's a two hour drive. I think rental cars cost like $30 per day.
You can ship your bike to an LBS. We recommend the Magic Cycles; you can ask for Ian. (828) 265-2211 // magiccycles@gmail.com
BRPC Clan - It is with deep sadness that I must pull out of the BRPC. I was informed today that our shareholder meeting was moved up and now conflicts with camp weekend. Was looking forward to seeing old and new friends alike, but hopefully I will see many of you in PR and/or Colorado.
Trust me...I'd much rather be in the saddle knocking out miles in the Blue Ridge Mountains with this crew than spending a spring Saturday in a conference hall reviewing our business results but this is one meeting that I have very little influence to change. I was really looking forward to the trip....I'm in a post-Kona funk that's gotten worse this week.
So... I'm working on my vacation schedule at work for 2017 and noticed that this is less than 4 months away. I am still trying to decide on fly vs. drive from Michigan, so I am wondering if any of you from Michigan or along the way (even Ohio) are thinking of driving. It may be more fun to convoy or ride together. Also, is the 26th an arrival day or get out of bed and ride day? I just am trying to figure out how much vacation time to schedule. If I fly, I plan on renting a car and may be able to coordinate airport rides as well.
Brian, I'll be driving from Pittsburgh. Obviously western PA and not OH but close. If you're interested and we can work out the timing I would be willing to meet you at the 70/77 interchange, or somewhere similar.
Looks like we arrive on Wednesday 4/26 to start riding Thursday 4/27. The Web page is still showing last year's date. If you're driving, stopping by Waynesville is an option - I'll message you.
Thanks for clarifying that Patrick - we've got the dates locked in. (On that Web page, towards the bottom, there's this line: "You should plan to arrive Wednesday night (4/27) to get integrated and join the group")
Team two little waitlist slots just popped up due to some cancels...if you want to join the crew, you can do it over on the official Blue Ridge Camp page. Hope you can make it!!!

@Scott, I thought I was the first on the WL, but after looking at the list above it seems you may be correct...phew
Is there a final list of campers somewhere?

@Clark - Thanks! I spoke to Paul, and it looks like he is pretty close and on the way.
