armrest slippage on carbon aerobars
I just added profile carbon aerobars to my bike. The fit was perfect until the first ride and first big bump in the road. The armrests on both sides slipped down and continued to move with each big bump. Is there a way to prevent the slippage without overtightening the bracket and cracking the bars?

Glenn, my experience with clip on aero bars bolted onto carbon bars ended with cracked handlebars. At the time, I switched to aluminum handlebars. Otherwise, I found that on descents with bumps, my aerobars would rotate forward until I was almost over the fron wheel. With aluminum handlebars (not an expensive addition) you can ratchet them down pretty good. Good luck,

Ultimately, I couldn't get it to work and had to go with a hed aerobar that has risers. Vision also makes one similar. Bontrager has a prototype they used on Lieto's bike for Kona with a bunch of spacers to get his position right. Good luck.

there is a fine line between cracking the bars and tightening correctly. I had the same problem as I was re-adjusting "My cockpit". You have to tighten pretty hard to crack carbon bars....
