TT sunglasses
Any specific recommendations for rimless shades? I just looked a Rudy and specialized - seems there is still a little bit of rim there - I assume these are adequate.
With my new TT fit, my Oakley rims are distinctly in the sight line, so having to extend neck even more.
Does anybody successfully use the shield that comes with the Rudy helmet? My fogged up heavy last year so I ditched it. Any fixes there?

Oakley just came out with a new rimless (can get with the Road Prizm lens - great for all lighting on bike and run). They are the EV Zero.
I ask b/c I am using the XX2I sport readers and really like them.
Thx.

Thanks Al. Those are the first rimless readers I have seen.

I just use a LG visor on my giro advantage II helmet; it provides a huge amount of visibility, and no rims to worry about!
Any remarks form officials on helmet inspection?
thanx
Yes, it's done between the foam and the shell, but it's quite snug.
I use two extra of the wheelbuilder screws that came with my aero disc cover to secure it, with holes I drilled myself near the ear flaps. I put a small piece of black duct tape over the screw on the outside also, just to smooth the surface.
I have a clear and a shaded visor, both made by Louis Garneau (although I cannot remember the exact model name/number) both easily exchangeable depending on the conditions.
Usually, I put the required race helmet number sticker slightly over the edge of the visor to secure it more.
In many years, I've never had a problem with it slipping out or moving around once the helmet is on.
Hope this helps.
thank u, it's perfect
will get in my DIY lab soon
I've tried the Tifosi's a few years back and they just didn't fit me right and felt flimsy or something...
There seem to be a bunch of new "High End" ones out, but it's not necessarily easy to try them on (don't even think the Roka's are sold in stores for instance). And even if I put them on my face in a store (i.e Oakley's), that's not quite the same as wearing them in the aero position with a helmet on... I've ALWAYS been an Oakley guy, but I'm also open minded and just want the best pair. I'm much more concerned about quality and fit than I am about saving a few bucks, but won't pay more just for a specific brand if a cheaper pair will serve my function better. With all that said, does anybody have any opinions on any of the following (or something else I should look at)?

One thing that's critical IMO as someone with pretty poor vision is to buy top end...Tifosi, eg, does not have as good optics as Smith and Oakley. @John Withrow, I also have a couple of pairs of Oakleys, and prefer the smoothness of the lens optics in Smith over those. And, after 5-6 hours or more (if you're using them in an IM on the run, eg), weight *does* become a factor, on my tender probiscus.
