EN data peeps! What do you track and why?
I am trying to create a riff off of Coach Patricks 2012 tracking spreadsheet to have one spot to track certain things. I hope it can help me see how my recovery, general training load and nutrition are affecting me throughout the season. I have all my stuff uploading to training peaks and beginner triathlete, but have never tracked outside of those consistently. I need someplace to put my thoughts/data in one spot.
As a 52 year old who seems to be going backwards in speed (my issues plus some aging I'm guessing) I am hoping to see some patterns for recovery, nutrition (always a concern for me) and use it as a whip to get my training in and be in better IM shape for IMOO this year (and of course build on that) than my hap hazard training last year that lead to a very long day at IMCHOO.
So, what do you track and why? Sleep, hr, nutrition, what recovery method used, s/b/r general data? What else??? I'd love to hear what and why!

Weekly, via Training Peaks I track (in order of importance to me):
TSS
TSB
CTL
ATL
Total hours (S/B/R)
Distance
Love that tool!
SS
Bike - elapsed time, distance, HR, NP, elevation,Avg.P, VI, IF, TSS, Bal - L/R, Cadence, MPH and HR. I track in Excel and graph, NP, HR and MPH trends. I also add notes on how I felt during/after
Run - mileage, avg. pace, HR elapsed time and elevation. Again, all in Excel. I graph pace and HR trends. i also add notes on how i felt during/after
Swim - yards, pace and SWOLF
Nutrition and sleep - never.
TP would be nice, but I get tired of "donating" to everything..... Plus, I'm skeptical I would use it properly to really improve my performance vs. looking at all those fancy graphs
