I will be doing IM Maryland instead of Chattanooga, and have a room reserved @ the Courtyard Marriott. This hotel is one block from the transition area. It's one king bed, $284/night.

So Al, why the change? I'm betting that this is the last year for Maryland, so you will at least have a chance to tackle the course before they pull the plug.

1. Tim's doing MD. 2. It's flat - I'm getting leery or downhills as I age. 3. Current competitor list is slightly more favorable for me to win @ MD. I only signed up for Chatt to make sure I had a place in a fall IM, when it was about to close, knowing that come spring, I would re-evaluate based on my fitness and who was racing in Chatt, Louisville, MD.

Your reasons for doing IMMd are similar to mine.... 1) Tim's doing it. 2) I'm leery of UP hills. 3) The current competition is Tim Cronk!!!
As I was telling Tim yesterday we'll have at least two first place finishes. And then there's Tim's 2nd place finish of course. Welcome aboard the flat windy train we call the IMMd bike course. Where are you staying?
