Garmin 910 Stopped Vibrating

My Garmin 910 stopped vibrating last week.  I set it to vibrate after every 1 mile on the run and every time I hit the lap button on my run and my swim.  although, every once in awhile it will vibrate and when it does its for a very long time.  software is up to date.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any fixes or suggestions?

Thanks,

Chris

  • It looks like you have done the obvious stuff. Fully charge the unit. Make sure the software is up to date. Do a hard reset.

It's a known issue with Garmin and I'm not sure they have a fix for it. If you look on their forms, they are offering a refurb replacement - you have to pay for it. I'd contact Garmin directly.

  • That, and a fading backlight when fully charged, was an initial sign of aging on my previous Garmin watch (a 405). I think it went at least a year after that before it gave up the ghost. If I can get 3 years out of a Garmin then it's done its job.
  • Thanks gents!

Paul - yep, I've had mine since 2014. All that money for a device that last 3 years - that's pretty piss poor on Garmin's part
  • Chris, this happened to me as well. I called garmin however and they had me try a few things...didn't work. They then asked me to return it and gave me a new (probably refurb) one to replace it. All free of charge. Not sure if mine was younger than yours however I found Garmin customer service to be great.
