  • Hey everyone! This race is my home town, home course, my race and sadly will be the first year not racing and not even there! If you head down to last years forum we had a webinar where Coach Rich and I broke down this course but really, you should know how to execute like EN ninjas.

My number one rule for this course:

    HYDRATE and STAY COOL
    1. The moment you get to Mile One Run Aid station, grab 4 sponges and KEEP THEM! They have run out every single year and people usually take some, throw them away and by the end of the race, there are none left. SOOOO

PRO TIP: Mile 1- grab 4 sponges every mile you need cold sponges, take them off at the entrance to the aid station, call out a volunteer, tell him or her to wet them and give them back to you at the end of the aid station, go through the station grabbing water, gatorade, gels etc then stuff them back in your suit, hat, etc.

There is NO SHADE on this run and its 1. Sneaky hilly and 2. HOT!

If you have ANY OTHER QUESTIONS about the race, throw them in here and I'll answer all that I can. I literally have biked this course 2 times a week for 2 years and Ive lived on the run course my whole life and the RD is one of my friends. I know this race.

You're going to have an epic day out there, its an amazing finish and I hope you take a piece of me with you, because I might be in tears that day not being able to share it with you!
  • Brenda and team: sorry to say that I won't be at Raleigh this year due to injury. Couldn't figure out how to pull my name off the list, but just to let you know.... regrets

  • What a list!! Looking great team. Can't wait to meet some of you. Looking forward to a new 70.3 venue.
  • What's the gain on the bike and run?
  • 2000ft on the bike, 300ft on the run.  Swim was flat, but choppy.  Enjoy

  • Team, I'll be volunteering at the bike aid station #2 this year instead of racing. I'll be watching for you all and cheering you on. Have a great day out there!!
