Dana B's 2016 MACRO
Hi Coach Rich!
I have been out since March with a sacrum fracture or tear. Its been so frustrating because I have seen 5 specialist and never actually got an accurate Dx. I am feeling better so I contacted Ironman and they let me transfer from Placid to IMWI.
With all this said, I have a heavy work schedule and zero fitness base, so I thought I should try the minimalist intermediate plan. I could try the 20 week plan, but know I'd only do 1/2 the workouts at best.
I have no idea if this is going to work, but I am going to start out slow and dial back the running for a while. If it turns out I can't do IMWI due to injury flare up, it's no loss really. IM wasn't going to refund me for Placid so why not give this a shot?
Thanks,
Dana

Sorry to hear about your friction, i'm in a similar place. No worries transferring to IMWI or even to a later race if that works for you? WI is a great venue regardless. The INT minimalist plan sounds good but it's only 12wks and IMWI folks are to load up their plans in a couple weeks. So I recommend you continue doing what you're doing until then, then load up that plan to end on 9/11. Good luck!
The EN*Full plan is 20wks, so you're on wk 7 of 20. The Mimimalist plan is 12wks, but to make it we took the last 12wks of the 20wk plan and edited it. In short there's not much difference between wk 7 of 20 and wk 1 of 12, with regards to where each is in the training plan...if that makes sense
