Race Date Change

Hi Coach,  I'm in a bit of a pickle as my daughter's soccer team has advanced to the final round of weekend games next weekend which means I can't participate in the Grand Rapids Half Ironman race I had planned to.

Now I plan to do the Mohican Half Ironman June 26th as a B race with IMCHOO as my A race.  I also wanted your opinion as to whether Muncie HIM July 9th would be a good or bad addition.

Unfortunately, I'm in a taper week for the GR race I'm not doing...then I'm supposed to "reset" next week, then load up the full IM plan.  I think I need to alter that for my new schedule somehow.  If you could please help I'd sincerely appreciate it!! Susan

    Hey Susan,

Well, a race change due to your daughter's soccer success is certainly a good thing

    Do this:

    • Load up the HIM plan to end on 6/26, as this will take you out of taper mode and give you another couple weeks in the HIM plan.
    • However, on 6/20 I still want you to load up the IM plan to end on Chattanooga.
    • With ^this^ you just won't get that transition week but you'll be fine.
    • Muncie on 7/9 is fine but you'll just work that into your IM plan.

Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

  • Perfect!  Thank you!
