SPEEDPLAY Walkable cleats

Hi everyone,

I've always been in SPEEDPLAYS and recently bought a pair of walkable cleats not so much for walking but they promote better aerodynamics. 

 Regardless if this is accurate or not I love them and curious if these walkable cleats are interchangeable with Light  Action "PINK" SPEEDPLAYS pedals.  The walkable cleats are on my shoes being used with these pink light action pedals, however the manufacturer says the walkable cleats won't work with the light action pedals and it's only a matter of time when I go to clip in and I'll be SOL.  The walkables came with Zero SPEEDPLAYS which are on my road bike.

Do you think the manufacturer is trying to sell more pedals stating the cleats and pedals are not interchangeable?  I am currently calling their bluff now, but I'd hate for them to be right in the middle of a race.

If the Zero's came in pink I wouldn't be asking, I'd get a pair of Zero pedals! For those who know me understand the importance of my color scheme.
