return from Grandma's marathon...Help!
I looked at the WIKI and was able to download the PDF on the recovery from the race but not the webinar (Box? I have a mac) even tried it on my windows 7... didn't work... anyway,I think I've got the gist of it... (No running!)
I did well and qualified for Boston and New York!.. my friend who I ran with/for did not I am so bummed for her! The weather was extreme! I did all thatI would do for Hawaii but this was Minnesota! Lots of ambulances and a busy medical tent.
So this is camp week. I have minor soreness in my muscles but my gut is still recovering! I'm drinking lots of fluids and eating yogurt! I did an hour on the bike this am and plan to swim 200's at Barton Springs after work... and I can ride this weekend... but tell me.... any running this weekend?

Congratulations to you again! I think I'm just going to start all of my emails to you with "congratulations" since 95% of the time it's appropriate. :-)
I don't see any upside for you running this weekend. I'm happy for you to be outside an active, say like a hike. But I'd rather you put into next to swim or just a self-care session like yoga and stretching. Even though you didn't run perhaps as fast as normal, remember that the physiological impact of a hot race is significantly greater than one run simply against the clock.
I say no running through Monday of next week.
swimming in cold water and riding my bike... Awesome! Anyone doing Buffalo Springs this weekend will be in for a doozy! It is nasty hot out there! it so hot that the deer are sleeping in the Armadillo dens!
