Hey Coach Patrick -  



Currently in week 10 of IM training for IMWI on 9/11...My B Race, HIM Muncie, is a week from this Sat on 7/9...should I / can I modify my IM Training Plan for week 11 (the week leading up to HIM Muncie) and/or week 12 (the week after HIM)?   

Let me know your thoughts!

  • Stephen, thanks for the post! Yes you should modify THIS WEEK...no long run on Thursday...that will happen on race day. Rather you should Swim only...then Friday OFF, Saturday race.

    Depending on how you feel, you can get back out there on Sunday for an easy ride up to 3 hours, but it all depends on how hard you race!! image

    Don't worry about setting a PB here..we are looking for good pacing and smart nutrition. Things that we can carry forward into your Ironman....good luck and have fun out there!
