Gloves

I've been using the ol Ironman-branded fingerless Spenco gloves for several years now (rotating through a few pairs at a time to make them go farther), but it looks like they're out of the glove business now.

Anyone have some suggestions for good well-padded fingerless gloves? Preferably, they're brands I can find in retail somewhat-locally so I can try them on before buying them.

  • Pearl Izumi P.R.O Pittards are great. I used to ride with them all the time. Unfortunately, Pearl Izumi does not have a large presence here. I now use Specialized BG Gel. Both are great options.
  • +1 on the PI PRO
  • I like the specialized gloves all the way around, Don't like how fingerless bunch up, so generally go with full fingered... I do try to ride a lot gloveless so I can do that on race day!
  • I like the pearl izumi fingerless, but do most of my rides with castelli full fingered gloves. If you wipe out and mess up your hands it can have a lot more impact on life/training etc than road rash elsewhere.
