Carol has lost her mojo!
Hi Coach P.! Boy do I wish we were going to be in Lake Placid this weekend. If you know of anyone with a room for a few nights, please do let me know! So... it's very strange that I can't seem to get my mojo going for Kona! I know, I know - people would kill for this opportunity. I'm trying to get the WKOs in, and I'd say I probably have been getting about 80 - 85% of them. It's really hard with trying to see the kids and Grandkids and my Mom and all that. Turby is not too worried and says I have time, but it is sneaking up real fast! So the real question I have for you is: what is the least amount of running I can get away with??? I have this little niggle with my left calf every now and then and I'm really trying to NOT get injured before October. I've gotten all of my long runs in, so that's a good thing. I did do the Monday hill intervals on the treadmill today, but feeling it in my calf now. My times have gotten slower (old!) and I'm okay with that - but I just don't know which runs I can do without. Definitely will continue the long run (can't do the split run - mentally it doesn't work for me). I seem to have a hard time mentally getting myself out the door but I'm okay once I actually get it done:-) I am on the Intermediate IM plan, if that's any help. Thanks so much and have a great time in Placid! Boo.... Jealous!!!

Great to hear from you despite the circumstances! Bummer on LP, we had some on the Team with a room for quite a while...I'll keep my eyes and ears open.
EVERYONE would kill for the chance, but FEW would sign up for the WORK. There's a distinction there.
You can't ignore what your body (and soul) are telling you.
1. You need some fun time. Like put the f-ing bike down, DeFazio, sleep in and take the kids to the beach, return them to the parents by 2 and then have some cocktails while you read before a great dinner out with your super hubby. LIFE IS MORE THAN WORKING OUT.
2. I only use all caps for people I like. GET USED TO IT.
3. No more hill runs please, esp with that calf. TRP runs and keep them on safe and flat surfaces. In fact, I would take MONDAYS OFF moving forward...you'll be fine and I think you need the rest.
As long as you can get run consistency in and the longer bikes you should be good. OWS as much as possible (Like your Wednesdays). IF you want more detail, or input, let me know. Remember you can set up a talk with me as well. My schedule is online here: http://meetme.so/patrickmccrann -- Please remember to include your phone number.
