LG M-2 EN Tri Suit usage

For those of you who raced in the Louis Garneau EN Tri Suit, how did you use it on the swim?

Under the wetsuit with sleeves on, which is now legal (I think)?

Rolled down? Is there enough mobility in the sleeves to leave them on for the swim?

Comments

  • I've used the suit recently in a wetsuit swim during a triathlon. The sleeves are very thin and fit extremely snugly. I didn;t even know they were there. You'll be more aware of the wetsuit sleeves then the tri suit sleeves.

  • You won't notice the sleeves. I race with a sleeveless wetsuit and just had my EN tri suit protruding through. Yes the tri suit is legal.
  • The EN suit felt great with a swim skin over it. The material on the arms and shoulders was snug without feeling tight or restricting.
  • +! on the previous comments. Seamless to use with a wetsuit.
  • I roll it down. Swimming stretches the fabric around the
shoulders ... exactly where the garment should remain most form- fitting.
  • More specific question for the MEN using this suit... Have you had any issues with Chafe on Race day on your man parts?? I've had it pretty bad in the same spot in placid & moo... no amount of chamois butter seems to help...
    any comments?
    Similar experiences?
  • @Scott I did my race rehearsal #2 with it (~6 hours bike + 1 hour run) and had no issues

Three races and multiple training sessions with no issues.   Maybe it's because you don't, ahem, fill it out enough .

  • I've completed two HIM RR, both with 1 hr run following, and a HIM race in the pouring rain, with no chafing
  • hasn't been an issue in RRs where I don't pee in the suit... in a race, way different issue...

@Jeremy - actually concerned that it's the opposite issue...
