Zone management

Went for run this afternoon before work. Kept my pace real slow before the time trial, like, 14:45 pace slow for 15 minutes. I felt fine but according to my HR monitor I was topping out of zone 4. Once I started the time trial I was able to maintain what I thought was comfortable pace But after 1.5 miles I was smoked. I was in mid zone 5. I usually run this pace as well. I was trying to find my 11:00-30 pace. Any ideas. It is terribly hot down here even in the shady areas.

I ran in Virginia today and normal easy pace for 1hr - my HR is usually zone 2 at this pace but at the end of my run I was struggling to run easy and my HR was close to zone 5 at the same pace - its the heat and humidity! Try again when the heat wave dissipates.
