    I am loving the training program so far. I spoke with Mariah yesterday and she suggested I talk to you regarding my test run. Since we live in close proximity to one another perhaps you can guide me to where a flat place would be. I did my 5K test run on the Arroyo trail as it was a hot day and thought this was fairly flat and I could easily repeat it. Due to a the rocks/sand on the trail my test run was a little slower than my 5k pace. This week my training plan is week 4 of the HIM and has testing in it. So, should I repeat the testing? Look forward to hearing from you.

    Move everything forward one day (so Tues is done today, for example), and move today's swim to Wednesday.

  • Hi Rich-Is there a plan that combines marathon training with triathlon training as well? Now that my HIM in December is done, I plan on running the LA marathon on March 19, but I also have shorter distance triathlons starting in early March. My goal is to do another HIM in the summertime. Please let me know what your thoughts are. Thank you

    Hi Wynde,

    We have a "balanced" marathon training plan, which includes some cycling. You could supplement that with swimming as you see fit / according to your goals for the race and time constraints. Let me know is this helps and you can always submit your race schedule to me here so I can plan this out for you.
