Because they dropped their sponsorship of the lifeguards, buoy set up, etc. It's swim at your own risk.

 wasn't a big deal anyway but it was a good pressure release the days before.  I went once and that was all i needed for a swim mental perk.  Found the line and got the picture for the distance.  recommend it
