Switching Days in a Week.

i am in week 14 of a beginners IM 20 week plan. The Saturday long training session allows me no emergency backup as my wife will be out of the area. I'd like to complete the Saturday session on Friday, the Sunday session on Saturday, and on Sunday put in the Thursday or Friday session. What do you think?

  • Jim, I think that's a great plan. We ideally would have you put the Thursday long-run on your Sunday instead. This allows you to keep the Friday swim (now on Thursday) before the long ride which is optimal. the only thing you need to be mindful of is carrying the long run fatigue into week 15. If you need to adjust that week's run, let me know. Good luck!
  • i agree especially since this is a run focus week. and i watch fatigue so i don't hate a training session in the near future.
