2017 IMLP Roll Call.....Who's In
Yes, your legs are sore; you have blisters and rashes in places that only a post race shower can discover; and your statement of “I’m never doing another one of these again” are all becoming a distant memory.
Don’t act like you’re not thinking about it. Who’s in for 2017?
And for those of you lurking at home...and were inspired by your teammates...did you pull the trigger?!

Wife: "How long are we staying?"
Me: "A week. All rentals require it."
Wife: "But that's more than our mortgage."
Me: "Yeah, it's a bit pricey there."
Didn't have the courage to tell her that it was only just the first deposit.
Doing Race in Los Cabos Oct 30th, then right into OS
Was a finish line volunteer this year on the 8-midnight shift which was like Ironman crack so of course I registered first thing the next morning.
Hotel is booked and family is on board.
Looking forward to the work!
I'm looking forward to 53 yo Trish going faster than 47 yo Trish! That is the GOAL!
Okay!
Where is Lake Placid anyway???
@Mike Roberts... we will accept bribes not to tell Mrs R about the multiple payments...
Hey there!
So I am registered but foolishly didn't get housing right away. What do you recommend??
@Rachel Check Ironman accommodations here: https://mmxreservations.com/chattanoogacvb/reservations/index/step1/eventId/2371
thank you!
I'm in, tentatively, having been lucky enough to win one of the EN early registration slots. Looking for my 3rd finish in LP in 4 attempts.
It will be a complicated one for me and my wife Patti as the word on the street is we are expecting our first. Not sure how this will work out but I asked not once or twice but on three different occasions about not doing the race. I got a definitive no you do the race without hesitation. I'm thinking that I will need to ask this question in May, June and July after the baby has arrived and much closer to the event. A bonus is that the in-laws have shown interest in coming to LP this year so Patti will have help as she still wants to come see me cross the line. So in short I guess I'm tentatively in, pending final validation in spring/summer.
Anyway I don't want to highjack this thread so I'll have to start a separate thread on the how's and what's of this challenge for us. I'll have saved up a few holidays to manage some long training and Patti will be off work for several months before and after the race. As I calculate it I'm in transition to the IM plan (JOS) right around the expected date.
I am in. This is my first iron man race.
Registration completed in late July and have reserved room nine miles away in Saranac Lake.
Looking forward to it!
I'm in! I did my first Ironman in LP in 2015 Some how the Friday before IMLP 2016 a bunch of us were sitting around the camp fire in Lake Placid, had a few beers and signed up for the race day package, IMLP and IMLP 70.3. So I'll be back, I just need to find my MoJo!
