Hamstring strain

2 weeks ago I tweeted my left hamstring. It was mild as I never had pain after. No pain walking, stretching, biking just when I run. Tested it yesterday and it started hurting a mile and a half in. I'm not sure what to do, have done massage therapy and had some acupuncture treatment. It helped but it's taking too long for this to clear up.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I don't want to walk 26 miles.

I have been able to increase bike and swim time , hoping to maintain fitness.

    Have you tried PT?
    Is it with all run paces or just speed work?
  • Robert thanks for replying. I'm training for IM Louisville. It's coming up and I'm missing out on some key workouts. I've had deep tissue massage and a acupuncture therapy session done, and have been resting it for 2 weeks. Went out yesterday and it felt fine for a mile and a half then got tight so I stopped to save it from more injury. Tried shortening my stride but that didn't seem to help. Also it doesn't bother me any other time. Going to see a physical therapist tomarow, hopefully he will have some ideas.
