Saturday Event Reshuffling

I am in Week 6 of the Beginner 12-week plan for Ironman Arizona.  This Saturday, I have an all-day event that will limit me to an hour or so of pre-dawn training.  Is it okay to rearrange the upcoming weekend training plan as follows?:

Friday: 30min run and 300min bike (originally scheduled for Saturday)

Saturday: 60min run (originally scheduled for Sunday)

Sunday: 90min swim, to be done in open ocean (originally scheduled for Friday, designed as a pool swim)

  • Alan, that's perfect! In general a "one weekend" switch is fine...it's when that change has to be permanent for life/family reasons that we need to really dive in!
