After our Phone call I went to the website and saw that coach Rich had already done a roadmap for you. Here is the link. based off of this chart, you should already be in the run durability program which will help set the tone for the remainder of your year. Most importantly by helping you start the out season right.
I am not worried about you starting a little bit late. The run durability program is just the entry point for your season. I see you still load the plan to end on the date that coach Rich specified. You don't need to do the test right now as you will have to test when you start the out season anyway. Until then, you can simply use perceived exertion or as close as you can come to the description of the effort in the workout. But I would send a reminder so that you load the out season plan on the right date
That said, it looks like coach Rich never tells you when to start your half Ironman training plan. Based on his roadmap for you, I suggest that you plan on loading the half Ironman training plan on the date where he tells you to load the balanced marathon plan. At that point time you and I will need to connect to adjust the long runs to make it appropriate for what you're trying to achieve in the marathon. Very sorry for the mixup.
Until that point time, the out season actually gets you ready for a half marathon so you'll be fine the first race. Looking forward to working with you this season!
