I honestly looked at that workout and thought there was no way I was going to be able to do it, but took it one interval at a time and got them all done at 0.98! New goal- don't underestimate myself! Didn't really bike or workout at all for about a year, so this is a rude wake up, but feels good to feel bad!
Late to the party here and what a painful welcome to riding in Salt Lake City after being at sea level for 10 years! I will be looking for my lungs on the side of the road this upcoming week!
I did the Rubber Glove test on the SufferFest app and got about 240W. I say *about* due to a software mess up, and a few signal drops. Likely higher, as kickr was locked in ERG mode(due to me thinking it worked like TR which auto switches to slope mode during the test phase...it does not.), and I had gas in the tank. It's likely more like 250w, but lets call it 240w for now. Still figuring this new kickr out. :-)
Nice work everyone putting the new FTPs to the test! Mine seems pretty close too. Hit all 4 of the 9' intervals with NP a watt or two above my FTP. Trainer road threw a 10 min break between the Main Sets of 2 x 9', so that helped a little, I am sure. I was only going to do a 5' break on my own. Time to roll those legs!
Weather was too nice to bike inside and we were at our lake place. No power on the road bike, so went with HR. 4 x 9' @ ~160 give or take a few. Rode for a total of 2 hours!
Zone 4 intervals went well, but had to cut the last one short because I was short on time to get to a work meeting. Did the run first and ended up going pretty fast by accident when I was focusing on cadence.
I'm a bit out of whack due to travel on Sunday. Put bike together Mon night. Got up ready to test on Tuesday and PM battery was dead. So I did my run test instead. Rested Wed and Bike tested Thursday. OMG I hate testing!! And since I'm traveling I don't have my personal computer and not allowed to plug Garmin into work computer. So I have no idea how it went. Saturday, I did the workout based on old numbers and had a hard time on the last two. Hopefully I'll be able to download when I get home next week and get my zones all straightened out.
Congrats to all for getting through this first week. Great seeing everyone getting it done. Thursday's 30/30s went well, but I mistakenly over achieved because TR had my old, higher FTP (by 20 watts) and I didn't realize it until I was done. Nonetheless, I hit the power targets. On Saturday's workout the first interval was the hardest but manageable and all were between .97 and 1.01 IF. I'm ready for week 2!

Funny! I did the same thing on the 30/30's. Hadn't updated TR, and was off by 25w. Got through it though.
