Instead of taking a rest day during the week can I spread my weekday brick workouts over two days due to work and family schedule and still get desired results?
David, this time of year, yes. The bricks are there for workout simplicity (two workouts, one shower, etc), but really run frequency is our focus. If you achieve that in a way that keeps your family happy but you log the miles, DO IT!
When we get in season, particularly close to your races, then bike-to-run sessions will be more important.
