Richard Favata Macro Thread
Hi Richard,
This is your very own “Macro Thread” where you and I can discuss any questions you may have about the Triathlon Season Roadmap (TSR) that I created for you here. This is also a space where we can discuss any big picture, season planning, race schedule and other related issues you may have going forward.
Welcome aboard!

Took a look at the road map. looks good. I am just getting back to running and definitely cannot blast out a run test right now. have some hamstring tendonopathy which i am slowly ridding myself of and don't want a set back. should be okay to do the bike test.
curious why you put me in intermediate vs. advanced leading up to quassy? no complaints, just trying to get a feel for how things are done.
also, what is the difference between intermediate and advance? volume? intensity? both?
liking what i am seeing so far--what is the commitment if/once i sign up for real? 12 months or less?
thanks.
Yes, but you need to open the .pdf using Adobe Reader.
also, i am a 1:05/low 30s swimmer, don't think i am front quadrant. worth trying to overall the form?
Hey Richie,
I'm looking into this, thanks for your patience!
Hey Richie,
Sorry for the delay, looks like I accidentally closed your email and lost it. Regarding the Swim Ebook:
Please do/confirm that you're doing ^that^ above. I've also just parked the file on Google Drive here, so try that as well.
Re your swim question: in my experience, with your ~1:05 IM swim, you're likely missing one or two technique breakthroughs, little things to fix or work on, that "may" get you to about the 1:00-02 area. But south of that you're typically talking about making a significant time and effort investment in your swim and, at some point, you need to decide of that investment is worth it and are there other or better ROI opportunities on the bike and run. But to answer your question, I suggest you find a good local technique coach for some quality 1:1 technique help, preferably with underwater video. And you can also post a video of you swimming here, and let me and the team bang on it and tell you what we see.
?Putting this in our Macro Thread also.
Good luck!
Rich
