Moo Camp--Shipping Bikes

Hi All,

For those of you flying, how are you shipping your bike? Anybody ever use ShipYourBicycle?

I can't remember who more-than-generously offered to let my ship to their abode? I will take you up on that generous offer. So much to absorb, sometimes things leave the brain. I figure it's time to focus on all this.

  • I'll be shipping my bike via FedEx. I have a bike box and feel safer sending it that way vs taking it on the plan (plus it's cheaper). I think Michele made the offer? Or maybe it was Pam? I need to find that message too! Holy Crap I just realized camp is just around the corner!
  • I think Dan Socie used that service linda, I'd ping him.
  • Yep, you can ship your bikes to my house, if you'd like...

I'm happy to drop off the bikes at the hotel, whenever you get into town. Also, depending on when you arrive, I may be able to pick you up at the airport. image
  • Thanks Michele! Will do. I am so grateful!

  • Michele,
Thank you so much. That's very generous of you!
  • Not sure when the camp is, but if anyone wants to borrow my QR Kilo, I'm happy to lend it. Just have to get it from Minneapple to Madison. I think it's a 52.
  • Linda if you want to borrow one of our Thule shipping boxes (they rocked) let me know image Cost us like $55 each way to fedex ground em to ToC.

  • Nemo, I had my son pack my bike last night because I have to leave for a family reunion tomorrow and will be there until 2 days before rally. In otherwords I have to ship my bike today. Now I am torn between shipping to bike shop and taking Rich's suggestion to ship to hotel. It took for ever to dissemble and I know it is too complicated for me to put back. Are you shipping to bike store?? I looked for the address in other planning threads and couldn't find it. If you have a sec can you lead me to the bike store thread (address, name) , I will call them and let them know it will be there a little early OR I will call the Clarion and let them know it will be there a bit early. I land at 10:30 PM on Weds. so lots of time on Thursday to get it all organized. Thinking the bike people are best shot and if there are any problems they can fix...without imposing on Rich or other campers. Your thoughts? Also as far as ALL THE TALK related to food, date changes, etc. I am just going to follow what Rich wants us to do as this is my first time and I don't want to miss any talks. I AM bringing my wetsuit, cause I can't run and maybe I can get some swimming in (still waiting to hear if there is going to be a swim clinic), just not sure lake location related to hotel......I rode 41 miles yesterday and was pretty tired so just hoping I am not totally in over my head

  • Linda H-  In the Moo Camp Planning Thread you'll see a map that Beth Created (I'd copy that map here but I can't figure out how) which shows the locations and addresses of everything Chica Camp related.  Click on the link under the picture of the map to go directly to the map for all the details.  The bike shop is Machinery Row Cycles at 601 Williamson Street Madison, WI 53703-3543, (608) 442-5974.
