  • Suzanne--

I can bring my Computrainer with me, if you like. I've even got the Real Course Video for Lake Placid. If you don't feel safe riding, you can set up in the parking lot and wave at us as we ride by!
  • Great news, Suzanne!

Let me know if you need to borrow one of my bikes. My tri bike is a 2005 Cervelo P3 51 cm. The road bike is a 2000 Klein Quantum 49 cm. Both bikes have powermeters and 700c wheels. I have clip on aerobars if the road bike fits you better, but if the tri bike fits you--that's the one you should ride. I have a Computrainer I can bring too...
  • Keith,

Yeeeeaaaaahhh! That would be great if you don't mind bringing it. So I'm coming to the Rally after all: Dog sitch worked out. I'm picking my broken bike back up from the shop and carting it to Placid and then dropping it back to the shop next Monday. The new frame should be in by next week. I will totally sit in the parking lot and spin away! And I can be course support for people on Saturday maybe.
  •  Suzanne-

Great news!!!!! So glad you are coming to Rally!

  • Just as a follow on to my Calfee repair comments - they told me a 6 week turn around time - but I checked in on my frame today and it is shipping back to me tomorrow - less than 4 weeks after they received the frame.

  • If all goes well, I'm going to be set up on my new frame by next week.

    New frame:

LBS owner, to me: "The new frame is going to be a *bit* more masculine than your current frame."

    For reference, old frame:

If it's not obvious, that would be bright pink trim all over the bike.

Me, to LBS owner: "Thanks, I'll try not to cry myself to sleep tonight."

  • Hmmm...new bike smell!

  • Sweeeeet!! Oh, and I love your response to the LBS!!!!
