Greg Kalt Micro Thread...

Here's your Micro Thread, as promised. As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes for folks dealing with schedule changes, injuries, etc.  I usually check in 2-3 times a week; for more urgent questions, please use the Chat Icon in the bottom right of the page!

You mentioned two things in your last email first you wanted to make sure that you retain swimming. Second you had some adjustments for this week because you don't have access to a treadmill.

In regards to the swimming, since it's a limiter we do want to swimming over the winter. Ideally you belong to a swimming program, where you can simply workout with Masters approximately 2 times a week. If that's the case, send me the days and I'll work them into your schedule.  If you do need workouts, we have a separate resource for you in the OutSeason® section of the Training Plan Central Page.  From there you can find our OutSeason®  Swim Supplement PDF (here) which gives you workout guidance by week that you can follow.

In terms of running outdoors when you don't have treadmill access, it's definitely hard to maintain a consistent pace because of the terrain and of course the conditions. Outside of Sunday, the majority of your running is meant to be steady-state. So do your best to run at that "endurance pace" for time.  Ideally you'll be able to get to the treadmill once a week for that interval session as needed.

Keep me posted!
