Peter's 2017 Macro Thread

Hey Rich, I'm back!

My goal is to do an Ironman again in 2018. For 2017 I have some unfinished business with the Marathon and I also want to build back reasonable bike fitness in preparation for 2018. I started riding again last week, and I plan to keep riding as cross training for the marathon. Here is what my 2017 season looks like so far:

Mar 19 - LA Marathon (This is going to be a sh*tshow because I started training Jan 1st after doing nearly nothing for 3 months)
Jul 23 - San Francisco Marathon (This is my AAA race where I hope to qualify for Boston again)

So far that is all I have. Coach P has me squared away to get ready for LA the best I can given my fitness. As for San Francisco I figure I will just load one of the EN Marathon Plans?

After San Francisco I don't know what to do. If I have a bad race, I guess I would sign up for another Marathon. If it goes well and I qualify, then should I consider a late season Half Ironman or something?

    After LA you have time to do the Run Focus plan (6wks) then transition over to the Balance Marathon Plan to end on 7/23. 

    After SFO we can talk about what your plans are.

    FYI, I had a pretty sweet beard going this summer, through Kona, and even invested in some "products:" beard oil, beard balm, a comb, etc.

    You would have been so proud of me...
