  • Thinking about driving up for the day and doing the middle distance, anyone in??

  • Would this be unwise if you were doing IMLP?

Actually this is the perfect training day for LP. I haven't done the math, but it's about 9 or 10 weeks out. It's not a full Iron (it IS a beaast). It is also 2 weeks before Quassy HIM which many use for LP. AmZof is a cult local race and there are some serious triathletes there many who have done LP & KQd. make sure you follow the thread on SlowTwitch, the bashing there is about as good as it gets and will have you laughing all the way to the start line.. Feel free to ping me for a phone call if you want to discuss. I just need to clear the day with the Ex tomorrow, then I'll be in.
If you have any questions, find the past years ST threads, they are long, but there is good info in there..
feel free to post questions here as well.
Search the forums (which are now searchable!!! thanks @Coach Patrick !!) for Race Reports from me, withrow, Al T & others. Wealth of info there.
and finally, pray for good weather... this race will suck bad in rain.. but we play in the rain!

  • Keep your eyes on the prize, guys...

  • I'l be there for the middle distance. I did this race 2 yrs ago and took 2nd 55-59. The bike course has 2 long steep climbs. The run course is all trails with several tough climbs on each lap. Love the event vibes, between bag pipes at the start, tie dye shirts, beer, shots of whiskey & burgers in transition makes for fun day. This my opening event for the season. Rest of my season consists of a few local HIM's spread over the summer.
