FOS Week 3 "Born To Run" Thread
I am channeling my inner Springsteen here in week 3, because baby we are born to run!
This week should feel familiar to us on the running front. The key is consistency, cumulative fatigue, and continual growth. We may see some improvements this week and you may be starting to feel more comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable. Embrace it!
Check out your targeted miles for the week and do you best to get in the runs as you can. On Bike/Run days if you cannot brick them, try to get in the run at some point even if not off of the bike. The secret to the sauce in EN is cumulative workouts - no junk, all targeted training. If you are new to the EN protocols and have been just doing the time without thinking about the work now is the time to dig deep into the EN culture and learn WHY we do things this way vs. the conventional way.
It will only benefit you when the in-season training hits!
Now let's go do our core work today and get ready to kill it this week!

I completed my run test this morning as well in the dark on a track after a 1.8 mile warm up.
Improvement, ~15 secs min/mil faster than the last one. Very happy. Work hard for that while maintaining a very heavy bike load and running ~40 miles/week. Feels like the 800s helped me the most.

The 800s really burn my matches and there is nothing really left to run back home from the track with.
