Thomas Blaine Micro Thread
Hey! Here's your Micro Thread, as promised. As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes. I usually check in 2-3 times a week; for more urgent questions, please use the Chat Icon in the bottom right of the page!
From what I gather, you are all set for the OutSeason® in terms of scheduling. I would like you to head over to the Training Plan Central Page (http://bit.ly/2eJqK3j) to review our OutSeason® video. That will hope you understand a little bit of what we're trying to target.
While be doing some very much right now, it's because we are cranking up the work on the bike and run to prepare you for the rest of your year. Consider these next few weeks as foundational as those two half iron races you have on the calendar.
I know you mentioned a need for workout nutrition, some I want to be sure to point you to the nutrition section of our wiki: Resources / Wiki / Nutrition (here). Normally people don't go here until about 12 weeks out for the race, but given your history of trouble it can't hurt to have you dialed as soon sooner rather than later. You can easily replicate the one hour of steady riding at the end of your next Saturday long ride.
Please let me know if any questions about that.
Also I know there are several others who will be competing in Wisconsin this year. Feel free to point them to our free resource page on Wisconsin here: https://www.endurancenation.us/landing/unofficial-ironman-wisconsin-race-411/
We also have some great podcasts on Wisconsin: http://bit.ly/2mlDyBP and even a few videos (you’ll have to dig a bit): http://bit.ly/2mlDS3v
Of course, as a member you can access our internal Wisconsin page here: http://members.endurancenation.us/Resources/MasterRacingPages/IronmanWisconsin.aspx And we also have resources on Racine as well (a bit dated): http://bit.ly/2mlNf37
I look forward to following your progress this season!

Before you do anything I suggest you check out the nutrition wiki for our explanation of race calories as fluids and calories (not just calories as many folks think of nutrition).
