I need new running shoes!!!

Surprisingly, a couple FB groups were of pretty much zero help.  For several years I have ran exclusively in two shoes.  The Asics Gel-Lyte 33 3 (6 oz, 5mm drop) and the New Balance MRC5000 (4 oz and 3mm drop).  Neither are in production any longer and I have very little life left in my final pairs.

What I seek in a shoe.  Low stack.  6 oz or under.  5mm drop or less.  Am willing to try 7 oz and 6mm drop at the top end.  I will be hitting the New Balance and Asics outlet stores in Myrtle Beach this weekend.  Their selection as an outlet is obviously going to be all over the place and who knows what will be available.  I am not married to these brands.  They were just the shoes my feet loved like no other and now I can't have them.  Very sad.

Thanks!

  • I love the Kinvara 7.
    according to running warehouse
    22 mm heel stack
    18 mm forefoot stack
    4 mm drop
    7.8 oz for size 9
(I realize that's a little above your weight criteria.)

They just introduced the 8 so these things are on sale.  With our team discount you can get a great price.

  • I'm not sure what size you wear, but a couple Google searches might just uncover a couple pairs of you older Asics Gel-Lyte 33...

  • Saucony's Kinvara like Doug mentioned, very popular and has some cool color options
Also, Hoka Clayton 4mm, 7.2 oz little heavier than you wanted
    Hoka Tracer 4mm, 7 oz
