I think the whole article can be summed up by one sentence that's in it: "Some critics have accused Nike of staging a publicity stunt, or a marketing campaign, instead of a credible sporting event."
However, if Nike does succeed in making a shoe that legitimately returns 13% more energy, then there sales will go off the charts. In the meantime, I still think all of those 'sock shoes' look plain silly.
