I've got 5 coached athletes competing this weekend too! I think I'm more nervous and excited for them than for myself.
I'm not under-trained, I'm over-tapered! haha
Its my fault, I put my name against another tri club for this race . Thanks for the add, Im looking forward to meeting my new peeps
EN peeps are well prepared to handle unknowns in terms of patience, discipline, execution and getting it done. Should give you all a great advantage over how the rest of the herd will handle those events.
@Scott Alexander - good luck man!
@Pat Koss - good skill!
@Dave Gardner - no matter what comes about ...Keep moving forward!
@Ashton Mossy - time to reap some dividends!
@David Wonn - experience is bad for the competition - go easy on them!

About half way into the swim, I got kicked squarely in the face, breaking my goggles and then I swallowed a whole bunch of salt water with a gasp of air. Couldn't stop coughing, so I swam to a kayak and called it a day! There might or might not have been some chumming of the water too. ick.
Only my second-ever DNF (IMCDA '09, hypothermia) in 14 years of triathlon.
Honestly, I wasn't too bummed about it. I had 5 coached athletes out there that were all over the course, so I got to spectate and cheer them all on! One of my guys even reached his stretch goal of a 5:30! Stoked for him on his build to Boulder in June.
Even got to meet up and have dinner with EN Alum Mr. Bart Stevens, one of the great story tellers here in the history of da haus. I also got some pics of some people in EN kits, but don't know who they are. I'll post them up later and they can claim themselves if they want to!
