FOS Week 9 ~ Back in the Saddle ~

A little Steven Tyler to start your week. :) I am not sure why, but he just inspires me! Maybe because at age 69, he still rocks it out! {https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3vlj8mUiPA}

Adjust where you have to, and let's hit those rides by getting back into the groove {insert favorite playlist}.

As our wise coach says "you only have 6x intervals sessions, 6 x VO2 sessions, and 6 x long rides to achieve your OS goals. Make each session count!"

We are slowly heading into spring, and I hope some of you are able to get outside and ride on Sunday.

Cheers!

  • Kicking off the thread. I ran out of time this morning. Mistakenly thought my 8:00 conference call was at 8:30, so I ended up modifying the bike to include the Spin Ups and the Single Leg sets, and did the MS at 2x8' (with a super crazy rest as I dropped the chain.on.the.trainer.first.time.ever).
  • Today was my first training ride outside. Yep. That was hard. Starting to get the feel for massaging the gears to stay within power zones. My hubby decided we needed to go do his favorite climb. 3 miles of up gradually increasing to 11% at the top. Yep. Feeling that one. I was able to keep my climbing power under 200 watts.  Came home and ate a hug lunch and fell asleep on the couch.  AWWW the luxurious life of a triathlete. HAHAHA.
  • Good morning peeps!

    This is what is feels like to eat glass at 5:30 a.m.  https://www.strava.com/activities/928988712/overview

  • @Elizabeth Hornak-I'm hoping to ride outside this weekend! We had snow last night, 60 degrees today so I'm hoping for some sunshine this weekend :)
    @Shaughn Simmons - what Jacklyn said. I did 2x20 on Tuesday and  felt strong. 5:30am sounds brutal though! Animal....
    @Jacklyn Moore - hopefully you're all recovered and ready for more!
