Here's your personal Micro Thread, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is here to guide you through your first year on EN, so you can always come back here. 

As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes.  So post away, know that I reply here usually M/W/F each week.

These are your recommended training plans, including the date you should start each one (sometimes you won’t complete a full plan but transition to another one).  You can change your plans on the Training Plan page by clicking the Move / Change button. Learn more about plan on the Training Plan Central Page.

Your First Month on the Team

  • Whenever possible, please identify your goals -- time, body composition, completion...the sooner you put them down the sooner we can get towards achieving them.

  • @Tim Weldon - Great call yesterday...thanks for taking the time. I have updated your season notes above to reflect your desire to use the full 20-week plan into race day. 

    Based on our call, these are the two things I have for you right now: 

    • We need to ease into your training once you are through the tests. When you are in the IM plan for the first two weeks, I just want you to do one workout a day (choose the higher priority one) and don't worry about doing 100% of the intensity... We just need to get you as close to the EN schedule as possible at the start. I can help you dial that in more here if needed. 

    • You need to get that Heart Rate Monitor set up and working so you can see your heart rate. I suggest Bill also help you get set up with Strava.com. When you are done running, you can upload your workouts there. You probably won't analyze them early on, but you can give me your info so I can see what's what. You'll wear this for all the bikes and runs please.  
    I am passing this on to Bill as well. When you have a chance, please book that week two call with me!
