Running in Paris

Heading to Paris to visit my daughter and was going to do some running while there.  Easiest thing looks like running along the Seine.  Is it worth going to the Bois de Boulogne or the Bois de Vincennes to run?

  • This is what my wife call a "First World Problem". Enjoy the City of Light in April!
  • Whenever I'm there, I just run along the Seine until I hit Eifel, then run loops around the Tower and the Champ de Mars.  It's a 1.5-mile loop on a wide packed-gravel trail.  Have to cross a couple of small, very lightly-traveled roads, but otherwise it's carefree running in a stunning setting.
  • I liked Luxembourg Gardens.  Also, there's a track with public admission near the base of the Eiffel Tower.   It's pretty cool to look up and see it every time you round the 300!

or skip running altogether and just eat.
  • I'd check out DCrainmaker's Strava Feed.  He lives right by the Louvre and posts tons of cools runs and bikes around the city.  Have fun, sounds like a great trip.
  • I would just recommend getting out early.  It is amazing how much you can see before the tourist take over!

Here is the one run I did - Similar to what @Mike Roberts mentioned
