Hi, EN friends. Does anyone has any good suggestions for accommodation at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship race in Chattanooga. I'm not sure but I am guessing that they would be using the same HIM course as they normally use. I am thinking that as the year progresses, all the knowledgeable athletes are going to snap up all the best places so I'd like to book mine as early as possible. Hope everyone is having a kickass day and training hard.

I think most of the best places have been booked already.  Springhill Suites is very nice and super close but does not look available now.  The Residence Inn downtown is walking distance but is over $300/night.  The Marriott is also pretty close.  There is a link on the race website for booking.  I have also heard people say to call closer to the date as people cancel.  Some also have good luck with AirB&B and VRBO.  There are hotels that are a little farther out that are a little less pricey.  Many are in the Hamilton Place Mall area.  I'm booked at the Embassy Suites out there.  It is pretty easy to drive in and out of the city and we have never had trouble parking downtown.

Thanks Paul for letting me know. I'll definitely check it out on Slowtwitch. I've still got heaps of time to adjust my training so that info is really valuable.
