  • Thanks. I appreciate the opportunity to come inside EN and see what its like.  Im trying to take some time to float around the website and see how different areas/resources relate to each other and work together. To be completely honest, as I told Coach Rich, my rate limiting steps for joining the team are (of course) making sure its the right fit for me and its the wisest allocation of time and money given my current circumstances and understanding.

To be up front and frank, my wife (and the love of my life) is not excited about the prospect of another monthly payment for triathlon/fitness to add to the YMCA, Masters swimming, gym membership, Strava, Zwift, Training peaks.... and on and on and on... the SAUs are often stretched thin--Im sure you've heard that before. Our five children ages 12 and under and my weekly call days in the hospital make following a daily training plan a challenge. I like to read and am nerdy enough to find real pleasure in reading about exercise science, training philosophies and strategies. In the past, these are the things that have kept me from pursuing coaching.  Nevertheless, Im anxious to give it a shot for a month and see if we are the right fit for each other. I look forward to the next few weeks and love the idea of being a part of a team!
  • @Jonathan Bylund - of course...that's what the trial is for. I hear you on all the little payments. Amazing how all these little services are just part of what makes up my training experience. I just signed up for Zwift and I think it's the best $10 a month I have spent in quite some time.

HopeFully we can add value for you in all the right places!

That said, I see you scheduled with me on Thursday and i will be riding my bike at our first camp...sorry for the mix up. Can you do later that day? I'll be done riding by 3pm EST...you can just call me later that day or text me to set something up: 617-513-3830

Also, let me know what else I can help you find / focus on!

@Jonathan Bylund - thanks again for connecting with me on Friday, I really appreciate your patience! My biggest take away from our call is to make sure that you're scheduling works for your life. Looking at your plan, you are working off of our EN*Half plan, which has the long rides on Saturday and Sunday.

Per our conversation, I say that you follow the plan as written and simply drop the Sunday workouts. The way the plan is set up, this will get you just to bikes a week. If that becomes a concern, we can make further adjustments. As long as you're getting in the full Saturday ride for the duration listed I will be pretty happy. Let me know what you think!

Also, you wanted to know how the plans played out. You can learn more about each plan here in the Training Plan Central area.
