Modified Training week

Coach, It is that time of year again where I start getting sent all over. I am assigned to a detail in NYC starting tonight, Tomorrow will be a no workout day. (Work day will be 18 - 20 hours) Remainder of the week will be 5am to 5pm.  I am bringing my bike and a trainer. Based on where I will be, I will most likely only run on the treadmill. No place close to swim so I am bringing my stretch cords. My FTP ending the OS was 260. Last week I was on vacation with Elaine where I ran 40 miles & swam three quality times. I have been on the bike twice trying to shake off the staleness from jet lag & a week off the bike. My training peaks account is echunter1. I would appreciate any suggestions for training you have. My first thought was an easy ride Sunday night.

    Before I get too into the weeds, can you give me more detail on what travel looks like for the next 4 weeks? And what your "A" race is?   :smile:

  • Sorry about that coach. It's been a very busy spring and I have not been on the site very much. I am racing Syracuse 70.3 and IMMT.  They are both my "A" race. I am looking to do the 70.3 sub 5 hours. IMMT goal is to execute a complete race so I am racing the entire event.  I would like my finish time to be a good reflection of what I can do in a 70.3. I am in NYC all week. I am hacking the plan to get done what I can. I didn't realize it was the BMC. I was trying to figure how to attack this week while on the road.  I'll make the best of the travel situation. Thank you for listening.

  • @Edwin Croucher No worries man! I just wanted to know about ALL THE TRAVEL first so I can help. If every week you say "but this happens!" Then I don't get to do as good of a job. So let me know about that!!!!
