The bike is very fast, probably one of the fastest 70.3 bikes. It has a lot of rollers that you can launch off. Remember that the speed is on the downhills. 80% of the other athletes will be coasting or soft pedaling downhill and then racing uphill. Just be careful out there because it is an open course, which makes passing really challenging.
The race is really about the run. It doesn't look tough on paper. But it is very exposed if it's hot out. Definitely have a go bag to fill with ice. Since you're local, perhaps go run the course around the same time of day you'll be out there during the race so you'll know what to expect.
